Majid Rahama & K.G.B

In this article based on the remaining documents from the interrogation of Ms. Maryam Etemadi, wife of Majid Rahnama, Higher Education Minister in Hoveyda Cabinet, the secret connections between Majid Rahnama and KGB is reviewed. According to the author’s finding through his document-research, Majid Rahnama since he became the 2nd secretary of Iranian Embassy in the USSR began his cooperation with KGB as a source of information; while he was known as individual close to the US and westernized intelligentsia in Iran.
In this paper we are informed of the know-how of his wife’s contacts with KGB members in the Soviets embassy in Tehran after the Islamic Revolution while knowing some details about his contacts with Soviet agents during his service at different posts.
The author also discusses the reasons behind his wife and his cooperation with KGB based on SAVAK documents and the report by Manoochher Hashemi the head of the 2nd Administration of SAVAK, published in his memoirs. In this article we know that both of them continued their cooperation with KGB even after their divorce.
