The relation of aggression with the average of speed and lane deviation in taxi drivers of Tehran

Abstract:
Background and aims
Speeding and deviation to the left and right are the most notable and important causes of injuries that caused by traffic accidents in most countries. Injuries caused by these events are so great that it will be remembered as a war on the road. Due to the importance of the relation between aggression, errors and violations, this study aimed to investigate the relationship of aggressive driving and the average of driving speed and lane deviations.
Methods
in the present study, 75 taxi drivers completed the Spielberger State-Trait Anger Inventory. Assessing the dimensions of aggression performed by car driving simulator. Using SPSS (V:22) ,descriptive tables and Spearman correlation coefficient data were analyzed.
Results
The findings showed that there was a significant direct relation between all aspects of aggression and the average and maximum of speeding and lane deviations, So that aggressive drivers drove with high speeds and were more willing to shift to the left and right.
Conclusion
Aggression is considered as one of the important factor affecting to increase the average speed and lane deviations
