Factors Affecting the Convergence of Israel and the Republic of Azerbaijan (1991-2017)

Message:
Abstract:
The Zionist regime did not have the influence and presence of the Soviet republics due to the Western bloc during the Cold War, a hard rivalry between the two eastern and western blocs; however, with the end of the Cold War and the beginning of the Gorbachev reforms, the Zionist regime's background and opportunities were infiltrated. And with the independence of Central Asia and the Caucasus, this regime designed and implemented specific targets and plans for influence in these countries. Considering that Israel has always striven for the development of its territorial borders, its power and security in the Middle East, it has placed its relations with Azerbaijan after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In this paper, by descriptive and analytical method, the main question is what are the most important factors affecting the convergence of Israel and the Republic of Azerbaijan? And in response to the question raised, the assumption is that Israel's periphery strategy, military cooperation, geopolitical importance, and the availability of energy reserves and Jews in Azerbaijan have led to a close relationship between Israel and the country.
