Abstract:
System thinking / Operational research and systems architecture are two areas of complexity management that have been highly sought after by various scholarly scholars. Although systems architecture is considered to be the dominant approach to system thinking / operational research in dealing with complex issues, there is no theory or process for architectural creation. Architecture is the science and art of planning and constructing structures. On the other hand, soft system thinking / soft operations research and structured methods to the problem, with the aim of learning and defining the problem with the help of stakeholders, is seeking satisfactory answers. In this study, by comparing the philosophical foundations of both areas at the methodological level, we would show the usefulness of the system / system research approach in soft operations in order to create a theory for architecture / system architecture. So, in the first step, the architectural mastery / system architecture and system thinking / research in soft operation were extracted and then compared on the basis of the Hamilton logic.
