Assess managers’ and libraries’ point of view about exploiting the model value of Green IT in IAU libraries in Mazandaran province

The purpose of the study is to assess managers’ and libraries’ point of view about exploiting the model value of Green IT in IAU libraries in Mazandaran province. The purpose of the study is applied and the method is comparative. In order to collect data we used Green IT model value Questionnaire. The validity of questionnaire estimated by theoretical experts and for the purpose of final evaluation, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient were used. The research community is 37 persons from all the librarians of IAU central libraries in Mazandaran province. The sampling method was census. The findings suggested that there is a significant difference between managers and libraries point of view regarding the effective factors on exploiting the model value of Green IT in all cases except satisfaction and the expected average level. Also the point of view of all librarians and managers was the same about all effective factors on exploiting Green IT model value in libraries. The point of view of managers with different job records and different degrees was also the same except demographic characteristics of gender in satisfaction. So academic libraries can improve the development and sustainability of the environment by exploiting the Green IT model value strategy between the audience of their community.
