Abstract:
This article is based on a descriptive demographic study of Islamic awakening. This study began with the question of “whether demographic characteristics of countries with Islamic awakening are similar or not?”.  To answer this question, a comparative study using case-based approach was conducted to compare and analysis demographic similarities and differentials. According to the finding of this study, countries can be divided into three types. The first type consists of Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Yemen. The second type includes Bahrain and Syria. And the third type consists of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Algeria and Morocco. The results show that there is a close similarity between demographic characteristics of the countries with Islamic awakening which can create grounds for conflicts. But this does not mean that wherever, there is population convergence, incidence of conflict is inevitable. It should be noted that the demographic characteristics are potential factor for instability that should be considered in combination with other factors.
