Abstract:

The role played by regional and trans-regional actors has created a crisis in the name of military aggression against Yemen centered on Al Saud. Saudi Arabia has long regarded Yemen as its sphere of influence and backyard and has been in complete control of its rulers. In the meantime, following the Yemeni people's revolution and the unrest of recent years, the Al-Houthi Islamic movement emerged with Shiite roots and in opposition to al-Saud's Wahhabi government. This movement challenged Saudi Arabia's influence over Yemen by overthrowing Saudi Arabia and its desire to communicate with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Al Saud took a confrontational approach by military attack on Yemen and accusing Iran of military and political support for the Ansarollah movement. Just as Saudi Arabia has sought to form a coalition and military invasion of Yemen, it has removed Ansarollah's Islamic movement from political power and prevented Iran's influence in the new Yemeni government by aligning its flows in power structure. The Islamic Republic of Iran, with the spiritual and political support and support of the Ansarollah movement and the Yemeni revolutionaries, has tried to change the balance of regional power to its advantage. The findings also show that the competition and conflict of interest between Al Saud and Iran in the Yemeni crisis has created a zero-sum game. Investigating the backgrounds, goals, and outcome of al-Saud's military presence in Yemen is the main mission of this research. Saudi Arabia appears to be the most influential Arab country among the Arabs, in order to maintain its political image, consolidate and expand its power in the region and prevent Iran from spreading influence in the Arab region, with the Arab coalition and military action against pro-Houthis. Iran is trying to maintain balance in the region.
