Cultural engineering and its role in police proactive activities against soft threats

Abstract:
This study is applicable by its objective and has surveying method for data gathering. The tools were researcher made questionnaires based on policing strategies of the state cultural engineering map which its validity has been proved by content method and also its durability by the Cronbach’s alpha coefficients estimated nearly about 0/86. SPSS software, statistical T tests and also Pearson correlation coefficient have been utilized for examining the study hypothesis. The study populations were police managers and leaders of Tehran sheriffs, authorities and experts of social counseling centers of police departments. Cochran formula has been used to determine sample size which about 120 people has been chosen by random selection.
Findings
All of three dimensions mentioned above, had an effective role on soft threats prevention. Promoting and expanding of legitimacy and after that, improving public and social security level and promoting law and order by policing approaches have the most impacts on soft threats prevention.
