Spatial Modeling of Factors Affecting Crime in Ahwaz City
The growing population growth in urban areas of developing countries, coupled with the inefficiency of social, economic, and especially social justice programs, has consequences, one of the most important being the increase in crime and delinquency. The occurrence of a crime depends on several factors that need to be examined in relation to the modeling of the factors affecting the crime occurrence and the crime rate. For this purpose, geographic weighted and ordinary least squares regression models were used for modeling in ArcGIS 10.3 software. For this purpose, the number of crime occurrences in each region as dependent variable and the parameters of the number of cultural centers, number of educational centers, number of sports centers, number of green spaces, number of health centers, number of sheriff, population density, number of illiterate, number of unemployed and number of students Independent variables were considered, and then the final crime map was prepared using two models. The results of two geographical weighted and ordinary least squares regression models show that zone 2 and 8 of Ahwvaz city are in the first crop and the safest crop is in zone 5. The results of the R ^2 and SCAI of the two models show that the geographic weighted regression model has higher accuracy in mapping the occurrence of crime in Ahwaz.
