Information Systems and Employee Performances: Exploring most widely used information system in government agencies

Abstract:
the competitive environment these days has caused the policymakers looking for a way to overtake and gain superiority to other organizations. Organizations are looking for various ways to get better performance, and one of the most important ways that have a significant impact on the organization, is to enhance the performance of human resources, which is the organization's most valuable asset. One of the changes that organizations have created to achieve competitive advantage, is implementation of information technology, which has led to the creation of information systems, and it’s being used at all organizational levels. One of the most widely used information systems in Iranian government agencies at lower levels of the organization and the staff, is office automation system. This system leads to a better and faster communication between employees in the workplace and ultimately improves their performance. This study explores the importance and the broad impact of this system that it has in organizations.
