Qualitative Analysis of Architectural Dimensions and Framework of SciVal in Terms of Analyzing, Processing and Information Management of Research
The goal of this paper is to studying of structure and finding components of analysis of researches in citation databases with study on Scival analysis tool. For that first by reviewing literature, the components o information analysis of researches was extracted and then based on that, four module of Scival (Overview, Benchmarking, Collaboration and trends) according to information analysis state, and in particular according to analysis type, the analyzed identity, the analysed field and filtering fields were studied and a structure of analysis manner in this tool were presented. So the framework of information analysis of researches based on the results of Scival study were completed. So the framework of information analysis of researches consist of this main components: Description, Classification, Analyzing, Evaluation, Exploration, information management, and visualization, that each of them has sub component. Based on results and as for Overview module studied an identity, description analysis is important in it. Also competency in the exploration component had Proper function in this module. Also analysis in Benchmarking module focus on evaluation which it coused exploration. So these two components (Evaluation and Exploration) are highlighted in this module. Also in Cooperation module, Exploration component with its analyzing is significant and with identifying Potential and current cooperation helps in making decisions for future cooperations. this module also with its visualizations works well toward Exploration component and by presenting scientific developments, gaps, cores, participants, cooperation opportunities, new research strategies and so on help in exploration analysis. Visualization and Rich and fit reports to support research strategies in specific identity are other components exist in information analysis in ScaVal. Also results show the identities that were analyzed with per module, indicate the essence of that module and it is true about SciVal.
