Historical and Hadith-Based Explanation and Analysis of the Characteristics of the Education System of Twelver Shi’ism (Imamiyyah)
Every system of thought must teach its audience a set of ideas, beliefs, values, ethics, as well as rules and behaviors in its educational process in order to be sustainable. Likewise, Twelver Shi’a people have always had an efficient education system and they have used its particular distinctive features and their cultural abilities to convey their transcendent teachings to the audience. With an analytic approach and examination of documents, after defining the education system, analyzing its features and functions in general and explaining the characteristics of Imamiyyah (Twelver Shi’a) education in the first five centuries AH in particular, as well as a historical and hadith-Based analysis of some of the educational activities of Shi'a people and counting them, this study came to the conclusion that the Imamiyyah (Twelver Shi’a) education system, in addition to its distinctive features and full autonomy, has always been adhering to the authority and knowledge of ahlulbait (peace be upon them all), as well as having specific principles, content, and educational method.
