Abstract:
The rise of anti-Shiite-Iran identities has been an obvious phenomenon in the Middle East. Presumption of the present article is that this identity will last long and would appear in future, thus the article by adopting futuristic approach and application of "Causal Layered Analysis", concerning the realities of the socio-political order of the Middle East and Iraq, seeks to answer the main question: why the anti-Shiite-Iran identities will appear in future? The main hypothesis is that" the existence of three layers of causes including socio-political and discursive context and mythical construction of them will lead to the rise of these identities. These three layers are interconnected and have interactive functions; the first layer creates depressed subjects, the second one mobilizes and the myth provokes them. The findings indicate that these layers are strong and institutionalized and easily lead to the rise of these kind of identities. Therefore, changing of structures and behaviors of anti-Shiite-Iran identity makers is necessary, although changes in the structural context, also, in some degrees, would prevent the rise of such identities too.
