A Reflection on the Theory of Comprehensiveness of Islam in the Society of Appearance Era
The following article explores and analyzes the spread of Islam in the global society at the time of Imam of the Time (A.S) and the rejection of other religions, such as Christianity, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism. To prove this claim, various reasons mentioned in the verses and traditions have been resorted to; for example, the Qur’an emphasizes the revelation of Jesus Christ and the conversion of all people of the book, as well as the apparent and logical predominance of Islam over other religions, and the submission of other religions to the true religion of Islam. The infallible Imams (A.S) have also proven this issue in various traditions and have promised the unity of religion and belief in Imam Mahdi (A.S)’s global government by rejecting division in the religions. In addition to several verses and traditions, which justify the spread of Islam at the end of history, there are other reasons such as the intellectual and epistemic growth of people at the Appearance era, the special mission of Imam of the Time (A.S) in dealing with the opposition and the expiration of the rules of tribute and prevarication at the time of Appearance; all of them suggest the unity of religions and beliefs during the period of Imam Mahdi’s Appearance.
