Identifying the Elements of the Jihadi Organization and Examining Their Effect on Organizational Effectiveness (Case study: Nezaja)

Abstract:

So far, there has been no coherent research on the elements of the jihadi organization, and the previous studies has focused on the jihadi spirit, jihadi culture, and jihadi management; Therefore, it is worthwhile to explain and theorize the components and elements of the jihadi organization at the macro, medium, and micro levels. This study aims to identify the elements of the jihadi organization on the one hand and determine the relationship between these elements and organizational effectiveness on the other. In this regard, first, through the analysis of qualitative content and based on the idea of the Supreme leader, and scientific and Islamic resources, elements of the jihadi organization were identified in three categories: anthropology, structural, and policy-making. Then, the components of these 3 categories were identified through the implementation of the Delphi panel among 8 social scientists and in two stages. Regarding the validity of the research findings, it should be said that in the whole process of implementing the Delphi stage, in addition to the panel, a number of experts in the field of jihadi management were used to control the initial questions. The validity and reliability of the quantitative research phase have been based on experts and Cronbach's coefficient respectively. Theoretical assistance is to research, identify, and categorize the anthropology, structural, and policy dimensions of jihadi organizations and determine their relationship to organizational effectiveness. Based on the research findings, 16 concepts / themes related to anthropology, 13 concepts / themes related to structures, 11 concepts / themes related to policy-making were identified and categorized. In the second stage of the research, the effect of the elements of the jihadi organization on the effectiveness of the organization was tested by modeling structural equations and random sampling from one of the Nezaja's units. Based on the research findings, the effect of jihadi organization on organizational effectiveness is positive and significant; also, the effect of the structure and anthropology of the jihadi organization on effectiveness is positive. Finally, there was not any significant effect of policy making on effectiveness. At the end, it is concluded that a jihadist can improve organizational effectiveness with good policy making in the context of dynamic structures.
