The Comparison Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and an integrated approach of Schema Therapy based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on Improvement of Intimacy in Divorce Applicant Couples
The aim of this study was to determine Comparison effectiveness Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and an integrated approach of Schema Therapy based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on improvement of intimacy in Divorce Applicant Couples.For this purpose, during a quasi-experimental research in form of pretest-posttest and control group 90 couples who referred to intervention crisis center of Mashhad in winter 2019 with convenience method were selected and were assigned randomly divided into three experimental groups and the control group. Experimental groups educated by Acceptance and commitment therapy protocol and integrated protocol of Schema therapy based Acceptance and commitment therapy and control group was not under any intervention.All three groups were requested to answer marital intimacy questionnaire and Data were analyzed using covariance analysis and SPSS software. The results of data analysis showed that the schema therapy based Acceptance Couple therapy is more effective in increase of marital intimacy (p< 0/01).Since the divorce rate is increasing in our country, this therapeutic integrated approach can help couples to improve of marital intimacy.
