Explaining and analyzing the performance of the freedom movement in confronting the Islamic Republic System in the 1980s
The victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran caused the currents and parties that were looking for an opportunity to gain a share in the future system of the country to use the gained space and change the situation to their advantage. The Freedom Movement, like other groups, began its activities and was able to take over the interim government, but due to the contradiction of its intellectual principles with the Islamic Revolution, it completely opposed the Islamic system. The main issue of the article is the analysis and study of the performance of the freedom movement in the 1980s in the face of the Islamic Revolution. The hypothesis of the research is that with the failure of liberal and interactionist policies against the Shiite thinking of the Islamic Revolution, the freedom movement with the strategy of "peaceful revolution" against the system, measures such as delegitimization and reducing the efficiency of the Islamic Republic in Putting society together to rise up against the regime was at the top of his agenda. To achieve these goals, he made extensive use of the atmosphere created by the war, elections and opposition currents.
