Historical, Political, Economic, Cultural, and Social Developments of Iran under the Reigns of Reza Shah Pahlavi (1925-1941) as Reflected in Postal Stamps of the Time
Postal stamps were introduced Iran in the Qajarid era as a sign of modernity. Reza Shah Pahlavi government issued stamps to signal the commencement a modern time. This paper investigates the themes use in the design of postal stamps.
A comprehensive collection of postal stamps were used to categorize the themes.
Politcal events are more frequently makes the themes. Then the change of dressing style of the public from the traditional to the western as a government policy is reflected in the design of postal stamps.
