Investigating the Mediating Role of Dynamic Capabilities and Hybrid Competitive Strategy in the Relationship between Structure and Organizational Performance of Guilan Production Companies

AbstractIn today's turbulent world, where rapid changes occur both in the field of technology and in regards to customer preferences, companies must always focus on structures that are consistent with the strategies that give them a competitive advantage. Organizational structures are an important organizational resource that can lead to ever-increasing success of companies in competition. The purpose of this study is to examine the features of organizations structures which can have an impact on the company’s performance through hybrid competitive strategies and dynamic organizational capabilities. In order to test the research hypotheses, active manufacturing companies in Rasht Industrial City (Sefidrood) were selected as the statistical population of the study, and a questionnaire was distributed among senior managers of 61 companies, and they were later collected and analyzed. The proposed model was based on the Structural Equation Modeling by partial least squares method with the help of Smart-PLS software. The results of the analysis showed that organizational structures do not directly affect performance, but this effect was confirmed through two mediation variables of hybrid competitive strategies and dynamic organizational capabilities.
