Investigating theimpact of strategic sourcing and use of e-procurement system on organization performance ; With the moderating role of market turmoil

Experts believe that preserving and developing competitive advantage leads to good performance because the advantages based on resources and capabilities of organizations, such as strategic sourcing and e-procurement system, can create the competitive position of organizations and improve performance. Hence, this research aims to determine the impact of strategic sourcing and use of e-procurement on organization performance.

This applied study is descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection method. Senior managers of 455 manufacturing and industrial companies in Bandar Abbas city formed the Statistical population and the participants were 208 subjects who were selected through random sampling and Cochran formula. The data collection tools include four organizational performance questionnaires, strategic sourcing and electronic procurement. The findings were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics of structural equations.

The findings indicate that strategic sourcing and e-procurement have a significant and positive impact on the firm performance of the organization, and the e-procurement system has also a significant and positive impact on strategic sourcing and "degree of market turbulence" as an environmental factor moderates the effect of strategic sourcing and e-procurement on corporate performance.

Based on the research findings, application of new techniques and technologies such as strategic sourcing and electronic logistics will improve the level of financial performance, operational performance and performance of the organization's supply chain.
