The discriminational role life expectancy, optimism, resilience and well-being psychological as dimensions of positive psychology in prediction fear of disease coronaviruses (Covid2019)

The purpose of this study was the discriminational role life expectancy, optimism, resilience and well-being psychological as dimensions of positive psychology in prediction fear of disease coronaviruses (Covid2019). The research design was a two-group diagnostic function. The statistical population consisted of all people of Karaji from March 2019 to April 2020. In this study, participants completed fear of disease coronaviruses scale (FDCS) of veisi and et al (2020), adult dispositional hope scale (ADHS) of Snyder et al (1991), life orientation test-revised (LOT-R) of Scheier, Carver & Bridges (1994), resilience scale (CDRISC) of Connor-Davidson (2003) and psychological well-being scale (PWS) of Ryff (1989), After this stage, the individuals were grouped into two groups of 50 people (50 people with high fear and 50 people with low fear). The obtained data were analyzed by the discriminant analysis method. The results of analysis showed that empathy and social competence can help to prediction social acceptance and function discriminant analysis assigned 87 percent of the people with and without of fear of disease coronaviruses (Covid-2019). Some factors, including life expectancy, optimism, resilience and well-being psychological as dimensions of positive psychology were found to affect fear of disease coronaviruses (Covid-2019). It is recommended that therapists pay more attention to these factors in providing solutions to improve fear of disease coronaviruses (Covid-2019).
