The effect of mental model on open innovation in the production sector of Iran's sports industry with the mediating role of talent management

In business, many manufacturers are struggling to produce their own products. According to this issue, the purpose of this study is the effect of mental model on open innovation in the production sector of Iran's sports industry with the mediating role of talent management. The research method is descriptive-analytical, based on present time, in terms of practical purpose, and in terms of field In the field of trade, many manufacturers try to produce their products. According to this issue, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of mental model on open innovation in the production sector of Iran's sports industry with the mediating role of talent management. The research method is correlation in the form of structural equations, based on the present tense, in terms of applied purpose, and in terms of collecting field information. The statistical population includes the managers of Iranian sports equipment manufacturers, according to the statistics announced through the official website of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of the country: 255 people (236 men and 19 women).The statistical sample was selected by total method. The measuring instruments were used from three questionnaires of Saeedi Mental Model (2020), Philips and Roper Talent Management (2009) and Open Innovation of Rangus and Drnovšek (2013). The results of structural equations showed that the mental model affects open innovation in the manufacturing sector of Iran's sports industry with the mediating role of talent management. So managers use open mindedness and talent management to achieve open innovation. Therefore, it is suggested that managers of sports companies in the production of sports products to be able to make optimal use of talent management for their employees, in order to achieve open innovation with the help of a suitable and capable mental model.
