Abstract:
This study focused on the relationship between multiple intelligence and Arabic language and literature students’ oral proficiency. The method of this study is correlation. The population of this study included Arabic Language and Literature university students in academic year 1397. Using Krejcie and Morgan table, 368 students were randomly selected for this study. Gardner’s multiple intelligence scale and a researcher-developed scale tapping Arabic speaking skills were used for data collection. Results indicated that speaking abilities in Arabic have significant correlation with linguistic physical and mathematical, kinesthetic and interpersonal intelligence. Therefore, it can be expected that using different components of intelligence increases learning and production among students. Plus, teaching and learning each component of language improves the intelligence for that particular component.
