Pandemics and politics: Opportunities and Threats of post Covid-19 Era in Iran
The central issue of this article examining the relationship between pandemics and politics with emphasis on the coronavirus pandemic and its transformation into a crisis and then an event in Iran and its political and security consequences. The hypothesis of this research is that some epidemics in Iran's history, by creating crises in politics, have become events and by creating environmental entropy have led to changes in Iran. Covid-19 is also an opportunity for institutional reform, national solidarity, acceptance of public participation and jurisprudential improvements due to the special situation in Iran and its conjuncture with global pressures, inefficiency crisis, identity challenges and the transition of power in the country. But if the importance of the issue is not understood, an abysmal situation (Civilization Trauma) awaits Iran. The method of this article is explanatory research based on a historical re-reading or political explanation of the epidemics in Iran's history.
