Improving the quality of life in Sheikh Baha'i neighborhood based on urban design components
The quality crisis in the current situation is one of the major challenges of our cities and one of the main concerns of decision makers, and users of urban environments. Given the importance of the issue of "quality" and the rapid increase of urbanization, if programs and physical interventions in cities as in the past without the necessary attention to urban design knowledge and without systematic consideration in various decision-making stages, no guarantee to achieve. There will be no desirable urban design quality environments. In fact, urban design can help improve the quality of life of city residents. The main purpose of this study is to improve the quality of life of the residents of Sheikh Baha'i neighborhood by considering the criteria and components of urban design. The research method is descriptive-analytical, using direct observation of space as well as field surveys using library documents. The research process includes reviewing the theoretical foundations, of extraction the required criteria and analyzing the study area based on studies and observations made using the SWOT method, which finally proposes the objectives and executive policies. The results of the research show that the components of urban design in the area have weaknesses and shortcomings that are presented with the aim of improving the quality of aesthetic and environmental function in order to achieve the ultimate goal improving the quality of life of residents.
