Analyzing the role of foreign virtual social networks on users' life satisfaction by emphasizing the mediating role of social security
In the contemporary world, social media, especially foreign virtual social networks whose databases are located in a third country and where there are cultural differences between the origin and destination of their users, due to their ability to develop simultaneous and asynchronous communication and access to a wide range of data. , Have gained a strong influence in the biosphere of users and, accordingly, have provided the basis for the formation of new habits that lead to different actions and choices. Due to this, the purpose of this study is to analyze the role of foreign virtual social networks on user life satisfaction by emphasizing the mediating role of social security. This research is a quantitative research method with an applied approach and is based on the correlation method with a survey approach. The statistical population of the study includes all citizens aged 25 to 60 years in Kashan. Using Morgan table, 383 people were determined as the sample size and the multi-stage cluster sampling method was studied. The scales used in the questionnaire included Diner Life Satisfaction Scale (1985) (5 items the researcher-made Social Security Feeling Scale (20 items). In order to measure the index of virtual social networks, membership status, and the level of use of virtual networks (Telegram, WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook) have also been questioned. In order to determine the validity of the questionnaire from face validity (judges' agreement on the indicators in order to evaluate the reliability of the concepts and dimensions under measurement, Cronbach's alpha internal correlation method was used which the indicators had the desired reliability. Data analysis using SPSS software showed that membership and use of external virtual social networks not only directly reduces the level of life satisfaction, but also uses them indirectly and by affecting the feeling of social security, life satisfaction Affects users. In other words, the use of these social media by creating fear and intellectual, psychological, identity and cultural insecurity, leads to a decrease in life satisfaction and marital quality levels of users.
