Predictive Model of Child's Social Emotional Competency based on Mothers' Meta -Emotional Factors with Mediating Role of Child's Attachment Security
The present study predicts the child's emotional social competence based on mothers' negative meta-emotional factors with the mediating role of child's attachment security.
Methods and Materials: The type of research is correlation-theoretical with predictive method and in terms of method, it is descriptive-survey. The statistical population of the present study included female students (elementary school) in addition to their parents in primary schools in Tehran. Using Formula 1 to 20 Klein (2016) have been selected. The research instruments included Zhou & Ee (2012) questionnaires for emotional social competence, Mitmansgruber et al. (2009) for meta-emotional factors and finally Kerns et al. (1996) questionnaire for attachment security. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and Amos software.
The results showed that anger affects attachment security. Anger affects emotional social competence and attachment security. Shame affects emotional social competence and attachment security. Violence control does not affect attachment security. Controlling violence affects emotional social competence. Suppression does not affect social emotional social competence Attachment security affects emotional social competence. The components of anger, shame, and depression indirectly affect the variable of emotional social competence. Violence control does not indirectly have a significant effect on the emotional social competence variable.
The mothers' negative meta-emotional factors have been effective on the child's emotional social competence through the attachment security of the child and the strongest effect has been related to the relationship between attachment security and child's emotional social competence.
