The Comparison effect of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Based on Acceptance and Commitment Treatment on Perceived Stress in Women with Social Anxiety
One of themost common and troublesome types of anxiety is social anxiety in which in dividuals experience extreme fear and anxiety. The purpose of this study was to the comparison of the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and based on acceptance and commitment treatment on perceived stress in women with social anxiety. The statistical population of this study included all women with social anxiety Bojnord City in year 2019, using a purposive samplingmethod, 45 woman were selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group(each group of 15woman). To collect data social anxiety of Torner & et al(1989) and perceived stress of Cohen & et al(1983) questionnaire were used. This experimental study was conducted with a pretest-posttest design with control group. The experimental groups underwent individual mindfulness-based cognitive therapy training(8 sessions 90minutes) and based on acceptance and commitment treatmenttraining(8 sessions 90minutes), but the control group received no training. Data were analysed Covariance Analysis. The results showed that both mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and based on acceptance and commitment treatment were effective to decrease perceived stress(p < 0/01) and between the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and based on acceptance and commitment treatment in women with social anxiety(p < 0/05).
