Futurology of library Resource Classification Systems
Futurology is a systematic, participatory, and perceptual process that builds a medium- to long-term perspective with the goal of making up-to-date decisions and mobilizing joint action. Rankings will lose their place in the digital age and will face challenges. Therefore, this study examines and researches the future of library resource classification systems.
In this study, descriptive-analytical method and review of sources have been used.
Classification is defined in different ways based on the context in which it is used as well as the extent to which it is used. The development of library classification schemes for bookshelf arrangement and alphabetical classification is not something we expect to change significantly. Advances have been made in the use of technology to update and distribute these designs, including the development of rating systems based on the digital age.
The ranking system is developed with regard to the development of science and knowledge and the emergence of interdisciplinary and a place for them. In the case of both futures studies and library resource classification systems, it arises that in the future, library resource classification systems will traditionally be challenged in the age of information and digital technology. And this vision of the future must exist in order to address the challenges in question.
