The Prediction of the Ethical Climate based on a Selection of Demographic Characteristics of Wrestlers
The purpose of this research was to predict the ethical climate based on a selection of wrestlers' cognitive characteristics. The research adopted a descriptive-correlational method and was carried out as a field study. The population of the study consisted of all adult wrestlers with four years of experience in wrestling clubs in Golestan province at the time of research (N=190) that the participants of the study were 125 wrestlers who were selected from among the population based on cluster random sampling. The sample size was determined using Morgan table. The data were collected using a demographic datasheet and Victor and Cullen’s Ethical Climate Questionnaire (1988). Data collected was first presented with descriptive statistics about demographic information of respondents (sample individuals) and also the status of research variables using tables displayed and subsequently, to test the hypotheses of the research and conclusions, statistical methods of the test Kolmogorov-Smirnov for data normalization, single-sample t-student, and correlation and regression tests were used. The findings of the research showed that the ethical climate and all its domains in the studied society were more than average. The ethical climate of caring and the ethical climate of the law were predictable by the age demographic variable. Code ethical climate was predictable by the demographic variable of education. The independent ethical climate was predictable by the demographic variable of membership in the national team.
