Socio-ecological Explanation of the Conflict in the Suburbs of Arak
The purpose of this study is to identify and explain the social ecological conflict in the suburbs of Arak. For this purpose, three main ecological components of these neighborhoods, namely population density, population heterogeneity and housing density were identified and their impact on the conflict was examined.
The research method was survey and a questionnaire was used to collect data. The statistical population of the study was 56744 households living in 9 suburbs of Arak city, of which 379 people were selected by three-stage sampling method of quota, cluster and simple random sampling. The validity of the research questionnaire was calculated to be 0.805 after calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Research data were analyzed using regression test.
In this study, the level of conflict in marginalized areas has a significant and direct relationship with population density and heterogeneity and the density of residential houses. The results of regression analysis showed that the value of multiple correlation coefficient of regression model and coefficient of determination of conflict variable are equal to 0.996 and 0.992. In other words, the regression model can significantly and appropriately predict the changes of dependent variables.
The results of path analysis showed that the effect of population density, population heterogeneity and housing density on the dependent variable of the research is significant. Executive solutions to solve the problem were presented in two sections: improvement and renovation of neighborhoods and providing housing for low-income urban groups
