Anas Ibn Malik and Hadith Ghadir; an Evaluation of Sayyid Razi's Tafsir

The story of the sermon of the Holy Prophet in Ghadir Khum in the farewell pilgrimage is one of the most important evidences that indicates the guardianship and successorship of Ali (a.s) and Ali (a.s) reffered to it in different positions. One of these cases is mentioned in Nahj al-Balaghah and in Hikmah 303. In that Hikmah, Ali (a.s.) has been addressed Anas Ibn Malik and reprimanded him why does he not testify to Ghadir despite witnessing it? Many authoritative historical and hadith books have mentioned this hikmah in the rebuke of Anas Ibn Malik, but unfortunately Sayyid Razi - may God have mercy on him - has mentioned another reason for expressing this Hikmah by Imam Ali. This article is a scholarly evaluation of his words.
