The effect of water crisis on mental health of South Khorasan residents
Problem statement:
The water crisis is one of the most important concerns in the world which Today, climate change, global warming, population growth, rising living standards, the existence of vast deserts, and the over-exploitation of water resources have made water scarcity a serious problem; One of the main problems that people face in crises is endangering their mental health. Thus, in the present article, the effect of water crisis on the mental health of the residents of South Khorasan province has been investigated.
Research method:
This research is of quantitative type and the collection tool is researcher-made questions that have been completed by the residents of South Khorasan province. The community is a resident of South Khorasan, of which 60 are available, examined and studied. In the analysis of research data, two methods of descriptive and inferential statistics have been used.
Findings:
The results showed that the effect of water crisis on mental health after resilience has the greatest effect on life satisfaction and the least effect on social communication disorder. The impact of each of the components of life satisfaction, vitality, anxiety, adjustment, aggression, self-efficacy, self-confidence, depression, despair is different.
Conclusion:
Solutions to reduce the impact of the water crisis on the mental health of South Khorasan residents have been proposed, including adopting solutions to reduce water waste in the province, government planning and creating a dam to store water for water shortages, creating culture among the people, teaching methods to deal with Crisis and providing the necessary education in the field of mental health.
