Identifying the causes affecting the citizen’s rebellion against the police order from the citizen’s point of view (Case study: South Khorasan Province)
The aim of this study was to identify the causes affecting the citizen's rebellion against the police order in South Khorasan province. First, in the qualitative stage, through semi-structured interviews with police officers and experts, the factors affecting the crime of citizens' disobedience to the orders of police officers were identified. 10 people participated in the interview purposefully. The data obtained at the interview stage included 2 external indicators (sub-categories: social, economic, legal, individual) and internal organizations (sub-categories: equipment-human, individual) and 24 sub-categories. A questionnaire was designed based on these themes. Then, by sampling with cluster method, including 120 sample citizens from the cities of South Khorasan province were selected and answered the researcher-made questionnaire. The results showed that the highest average in the section of social causes is related to inequalities in society. Among the economic causes of unemployment and the pressures arising from it, and among the legal causes, there is no deterrent to fines for rebellious people. The results also show that the most important individual causes (extra-organizational) in the occurrence of rebellion is the low tolerance threshold of individuals and among the components within the organization, the most important individual causes in the occurrence of rebellion are stress and mental fatigue of the officer.
