Explaining the Social factors affecting the Development of the Tourism Industry with Emphasis on Development Programs and Theories (Case study: Exploring the first Four Development Programs after the Islamic Revolution)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the social factors affecting the development of the tourism industry with emphasis on development theories. The research method was qualitative, a documentary study with an exploratory-explanatory nature and using the fishtaking technique. Findings show that social factors play an important role in creating or preventing development. Therefore, any action in this direction should take into account cultural considerations, especially the value system of society. A very important phenomenon such as tourism, which affects the culture of societies as well as the well-being of millions of people around the world, cannot be accurately identified and understood without a sociological perspective. The conservative, consensual, and expedient views that are now prevalent often took a one-dimensional view of tourism. These views focus solely on one of the positive or negative dimensions of tourism, ignoring the simultaneous attention to both dimensions.
