Recreating spiritual leadership: An Islamic-driven Model Based on The Noble Book Mizan al-Hikma
Spiritual leadership by inspiring sense of membership and meaning in work is one of the most important factors in promoting productivity and mental health of employees in the current turbulent and unstable world. The purpose of this article is to extract a model of spiritual leadership based on Islamic teachings.
The method of this research is qualitative and with inductive approach. In order to extract the material from Islamic sources - which in this study has been used specifically the book Mizan al-Hikma - the content analysis technique has been used.
The results of the research in the qualitative stage showed that the model of Islamic spiritual leadership consists of three levels: individual, group and organizational, with personality and belief components in the individual dimension, secretarial and belief components in the group dimension, and insight and action components in the Organizational dimension are its components.
The final model of this study can be a good basis for leaders to know their position and also to assess and provide solutions to improve the role of organizational managers as spiritual leaders and based on the components defined in this model, appropriate training could be planned.
