Basic Human Needs as an Internal Motivating Factor From the Point of View of Imam Sajjad (P.B.U.H) in the Prayers of Al-Sahifa Al-Sajjadiyya

Abstract:
Objectives

This study has been compiled with the aim of identifying human needs based on the prayers of Imam Sajjad in Sahifa Sajjadieh.

Method

In this regard, using the qualitative-descriptive method and using the content analysis method, the existing data were reviewed. In order to perform coding and assignment of the codes to the themes MAXQDA software was employed.

Results

In this study, the whole 54 prayers of Imam Sajjad in Sahifa Sajjadieh were evaluated and 402 descriptive codes were extracted. In the next step by grouping the initial codes, 18 interpretive codes were obtained and finally, by classifying the content of these themes, 3 Relational cods were obtained.

Conclusion

human needs was identified under the heading of spiritual needs (including: need for repentance, need for worship, forgiveness,...), divine needs (belief in monotheism and belief in the hereafter) and material needs (including: need for sustenance, the need for health and rain).
