The Political Role of People in Imam Husayn’s (Peace Be Upon Him) Sermon in Karbala: The Semantic Relations Between Concepts and Categories

Imam Husayn's (Peace be upon him) sermon in Karbala has a pivoting role in the mentality of Shiites. From a semantic point of view, this speech could reflect his political thought; and, in this case, the political role of the people as an essential component of the intellectual foundations of Islam. The present article aims to study the political role of people represented in his terms as consistency in decision making, recognition of the truth, critique of the power. W can understand the people stands in the center of Imam Husayn's political thought.
