Explaining School principals’ conflict management based on their job burnout and stress in Khoy and Chaypareh
The aim of this study was to explain school principals’ conflict management based on their job burnout and stress. The study population included all school principals in Chaypareh and Khoy in the academic year of 1395-1394 and the sample size was 173 people that were selected by stratified random sampling method. To gather the data questionnaires of Rabin’s conflict management and Meselch’s job stress and burnout were used. Correlation and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results indicate that based on principals’ job stress, conflict management style can predict co-operation, avoidance and compromise. But because the amount of F obtained for conflict management style of competition (0/07) is not statistically significant (P≥0 / 05); it cannot be predicted based on principals’ job stress. Beta coefficient indicates that, per unit increase in stress management, conflict management style of cooperation decreases at 33 percent, avoided style increases at 28 percent; concession style decreases at 34 percent and compromise style decreases at 47 percent.
