The research was conducted by implementing documentary procedures as well as field studies. Eighty persons (divided into four groups، namely، students and their parents، as well as teachers and scholars in three fields: educational sociology، linguistics، and literature) were interviewed. The gathered data was obtained through analysis of documentary procedures and field studies. The results indicate that all four hypotheses، the effect of teaching in mother tongue on creating motivation، self confidence، facilitating the process of learning، and eliminating self-alienation in children was confirmed. The article concludes by offering strategic and practical approaches towards teaching children in their own native language at schools.
