Investigating the Impact of Urban Regeneration on Urban Tourism (Case Study of Isfahan City Three)
Dilapidated structures of cities are an important part of the city that are signs of indigenous culture, architecture and urban planning and are known as part of social identity, body and urban life. Environment, destruction and lack of use of space due to the uneven rapid expansion of the city in the path of recession and backwardness and removal from the urban landscape. By planning and using the improvement and empowerment program of such an environment, the growth of industry and attracting tourists can be provided. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of urban regeneration on urban tourism in the three regions of Isfahan.
Applied-developmental nature and in terms of method, a survey with a sample size of 365 people from among experts, experts and thinkers in the field of tourism in Isfahan in 1398 were selected by random sampling. In this study, the tools used include a researcher-made urban regeneration questionnaire and an urban tourism questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistics of correlation and regression with SPSS software were used to analyze the data.
Findings show that urban regeneration has been effective on urban tourism in Isfahan (R = 0.342). And as urban regeneration changes, so does urban tourism. Urban regeneration also affects the components of social interactions (R = 0.142), vitality (R = 0.409), creating a sense of spatial belonging of tourists (R = 0.340).
Reconstruction of urban spaces has positive effects on the growth and development of urban tourism in Isfahan.
