Explaining the Causes of Hidden Marital Aggression in Women: The Role of Feelings of Guilt and Self-Sufficiency
The aim of this study was to explain the causal latent marital aggression in women with the mediating role of guilt and self-esteem. The method of the present study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive information was collected by correlation method. In studies that aim to test a specific model of prediction between variables, the structural equation model is used. The statistical population of the study was married women working in the Radio and Television Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran. In this study, multi-stage random sampling method was used and 150 married women were randomly selected as a sample and exposed to latent marital communication aggression, Nelson and Carroll (2006), Reese's self-compassion (2011) and Tanjeni, Wagner self-conscious emotion. And Gomez (1989) responded. Pearson correlation coefficient and path analysis were used for analysis. The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between self-compassion on latent marital aggression and the mediating role of guilt (β = 0.16, P = 0.01). According to the results, guilt can mediate between latent marital aggression and self-compassion in married women.
