Predicting Lifestyle and Marital Intimacy on the Tendency to Marital Infidelity in Women

The aim of this study was to predict the tendency to marital infidelity in women: with the predictive role of lifestyle and marital intimacy. The present study was descriptive and correlational and the statistical population of the study was women working in Isfahan city offices in 1399. Among the statistical population of 250 women were selected by convenience sampling and studied. To collect data, Lifestyle Questionnaire (LSQ), marital intimacy of Bagarozi (2001) and tendency to marital infidelity Marami and Khademi (2013) were used. After collecting and extracting data, participants' scores were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between lifestyle and marital intimacy with the tendency to marital infidelity in working women. The results also showed that the dimensions of lifestyle and the dimensions of marital intimacy are able to significantly predict the tendency to marital infidelity in working women. The findings of this study show that marital intimacy and lifestyles of married women have a significant role in predicting attitudes toward marital infidelity.
