Identifying the ethical duties and requirements of Islamic media in the field of news and information

The media are institutions that, by reforming them, hope to spread piety in society and reform the whole society. Research on Islamic media on the one hand due to the identification and creation of media in accordance with the worldview and Islamic values ​​and on the other hand for the correct and maximum use of media capabilities to achieve divine ideals and ultimately achieve true worldly and hereafter happiness It is essential. Although the media has various functions such as education, entertainment and recreation, But compared to other sectors, the more tangible need for news has doubled its importance. It can be said that news and information is the most important function of the media about engaging and guiding public opinion. In the present study, by analyzing the qualitative content of Islamic verses and hadiths and relying on the course of Qur'anic exegesis by Ayatollah Javadi Ameli, an attempt has been made to establish a basis for the function of information in the media. The obtained results can be classified into two parts: duties and ethical requirements. Among the most important tasks of the Islamic media in the field of information, we can mention "explaining the purpose of human creation", "explaining the human view of the world", "rationalizing society" and "providing an analytical approach”. He mentioned such things as "avoiding impractical science and ignorant action", "avoiding Machiavelli's approach", "avoiding hypocrisy and fame" and "not spying on the affairs of others" as the most important moral requirements.
