Qurashi Interpretive Method In Ahsan Al-Hadith

Tafsir Ahsan Al-Hadith by Sayyid Ali Akbar Ghurashi is one of the contemporary interpretive books that has been written in a comprehensive manner in 12 volumes. One of the most important features of this book are its simplicity and comprehensibility for the public, avoiding various quotations, avoiding hard to understand succinctness and specialized and literary allusions, and paying attention to the appropriateness and relationship of the verses. He interprets the Qur'an in three stages: expressing general aspects of the surah, interpreting the text of the verses, and stating the points. He has used different methods in interpretation: Qur'an by Qur'an, Qur'an by narrations, and ijtihadi-based and rational-based. It has also expressed various tendencies: literary and rhetorical, educational and social, theological, jurisprudential, and scientific. This article examines these methods and interpretive tendencies. From their study, it is concluded that this interpretation is among the interpretation in the style of preaching that has been written for educational and social purposes. Therefore, he has used different methods and trends to achieve this goal. Of course, it can also be considered as a comprehensive interpretation; because it uses many interpretive methods and tendencies.
