Mapping Review In Business Network's Sttudies

Identifying existing and general trends of Scientifics in each field should be considered as one of the basic needs in science. By examining the trends, the theoretical gap in previous studies can be illustrated and the forthcoming studies can be targeted with more accuracy. Business networks is a field of study that seeks to analyze complex types of repetitive exchanges. This study has used mapping review and co-occurrence analysis with the thematic classification of research in the field of business networks. The database for this study was Scopus and Web of Science databases in February 2021. Based on the mapping review method between 1990 and 2021, 431 articles were selected for abstract and keyword analysis, and 56 articles were selected for full-text analysis. co-occurrence analysis through Vosviewer software clustered three main groups of studies: structural approach, cultural approach, and relational approach. These three main approaches to business network analysis include 11 sub-categories. Most studies have focused on a structural approach. The new trends show the change in the approach of business network analysis to the relational approach, which has become the dominant approach in business network analysis since 2017.
