Strategic scenarios for the Sepahan Mobarakeh Steel Cultural and Sports Club
Competitive sport in professional clubs today seems to be the institutional form of the process of promoting social capital of society. The purpose of this study was to explore the future of Sepahan Club and develop its scenarios for the next 20 years and present a strategy. In the present study, the foresight approach with the script-based approach was applied based on the intuitive logic method. First, the specific project boundary, then the main development factors and blind spots were identified with 360 degree feedback. Two key uncertainties were formulated as the basis of scenario design. In the next step, a detailed definition of the four possible scenarios was provided. Then a general strategy based on the scenarios was presented and the last step involved monitoring and controlling the strategies. The participants of this study included 20 internal and external stakeholders of Iranian university sport who were selected based on purposeful sampling. Data were gathered through interviews and open-ended questionnaires. Based on the findings, the analysis of 26 key factors ultimately produced two key uncertainties: "Sustainable financial allocation" and "Emphasis on sustainable social responsibility of the club in the community." Generally, consider strategies for building the future of Sepahan Club, with the components of financial allocation, integrated management, social status, specialization, highlighting and modeling, and the media to build the future of the club.
