Investigation of Ethan and Carbon Dioxide Hydrate Formation Kinetics in Constant Pressure and Methane and Ethane Hydrate in Constant Volume in Agitated Reactor
In this study Kashchiev and Firoozabadi kinetic model that calculate overall rate of hydrate formation by using nucleation and growth rate, was used, however, the other models based on the crystallization theory, determined gas hydrate formation rate in growth stage.Growth and nucleation rate and parameters that affecting them, were investigated. Moreover ethane and carbon dioxide consumption rate at constant pressure, and ethane and methane consumption rate at constant volume were obtained by using this model. Results of model were compared to experimental data and the results showed, this kinetic model had good agreement with experimental data just in isobaric condition.
