Petroleum Products Distribution Planning Model in Terms of Fleet Constraints and Transportation Infrastructure in Iran
Refineries, warehouses and demand points are the main components of the petroleum products distribution network. The unbalanced distribution of the network components, increasing demand in recent years, and the difference in the infrastructure of various transportation modes between the components of the network, require the optimal distribution of the products. In the present study, the optimal transportation of the petroleum products from the refineries to the warehouse and from warehouses to demand points has been analyzed through the pipeline network, road and rail types. A mathematical model is presented with the aim of minimizing transportation costs in the petroleum supply chain, in order to satisfy demand over a specific time horizon. To solve the problem, a real network is implemented in GAMS optimization software.
