Explain the Principle of Information in the Light of the Previous Consent Procedure of the Rotterdam 2003 Convention

Abstract:
Development of international environmental law has been fulfilled in the light of binding international conventions, treaties, protocols, agreements, and rules. However, explanation of principles and concepts of international environmental law with respect to international documents play a constructive role in the course of actions, as well as the outcomes of fully implementing these actions. One of the common worldwide concerns in recent years has been the transportation, distribution, and leakage of chemicals. In this regard, reviews of prior informed consent for specific hazardous chemicals and the respective methods of international trade with respect to notification principle and information exchange were inspected in this research. Additionally, the aim of this research is to explain the notification principle in light of prior informed consent with emphasis on countries’ obligation to cooperate given their joint responsibility for protecting human and the environment health.
